Featurette, Set Photo and Poster for TRANSCENDENCE Starring Johnny Depp

The first details are starting to come out regarding Wally Pfister's sci-fi thriller "Transcendence". As filming is still underway, DMG Entertainment has released the first set photo featuring protagonists Johnny Depp and Rebecca Hall (above), a short behind-the-scenes featurette and a promo poster. DMG is a chinese company which co-finances the film. This is Pfister's directorial debut. Until now he has done some excellent work as a cinematographer, his resume featuring such films as "The Dark Knight" trilogy, "Inception" (for which he won an Oscar) and "Moneyball". The story has been revealed to be about a group of scientists trying to build the first self-aware supercomputer. Depp stars as a man who uploads his brain to the machine, but is then killed. The film also stars Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Paul Bettany, Clifton Collins Jr., Cole Hauser and Morgan Freeman. "Transcendence" opens on April 18, 2014.
